How travel works

Extraction connects the worlds.

Project Civilization uses an extraction-based travel system. You reach an extraction region, use the transfer, and your character continues into the connected world. Extractions are transportation zones — not trader hubs, and not guaranteed combat arenas.

Extraction regions

Each world has exactly three extraction regions. Specific towns and coordinates are found in-game.

Region 01
Southern Extraction
Region 02
Central Extraction
Region 03
Northern Extraction

Four stages to transfer.

01

Prepare

Choose what equipment and resources you are taking with you.

02

Reach an Extraction

Travel to a Southern, Central, or Northern extraction region.

03

Transfer

Use the extraction system to move into the connected world.

04

Arrive

Your character and equipment continue with you.

Note

Logging out outside an extraction keeps you on your current world. New survivors begin on Frontier.

Questions

Travel FAQ.

01Where do new players begin?

First-time survivors begin on Frontier. Homeland is reached through the extraction system once you are prepared.

02Do I lose my gear during transfer?

The transfer system is designed to move your character, gear, and progression with you between the connected worlds.

03What happens when I log out outside an extraction?

You stay on your current world. Logging out away from an extraction does not move your character.

04Can I build on Frontier?

No. Building is not allowed on Frontier. You build anywhere on Homeland.

05Can I return to Frontier?

Yes. The extraction system connects the two worlds in both directions — you move between them as one continuous experience.

06Are there only three extraction regions?

Each world has three extraction regions: Southern, Central, and Northern.

07What happens if a destination server is unavailable?

If the connected world is temporarily unavailable, the transfer waits until it can complete safely rather than putting your character at risk. Current transfer availability appears on the Live Network page when connected.
